CAREER AT THE HOTEL ZUR POST

The Hotel zur Post is a privately run hotel in Hemmingen, near the Hanover city limits. Our hotel offers 46 upscale rooms with a total of 60 beds, as well as facilities for events with up to 60 people.

We are currently looking for the following positions to strengthen our team:

Hotel specialist (m/f/d)

Full-time or part-time from 1 November 2025

This is a highly varied and diverse all-round role in our hotel. You will be deployed equally in the service, housekeeping (controlling function), and reception areas, working closely as part of a team.

You should bring the following with you

Preferably completed training in the hotel industry

(We also welcome career changers with experience in the hospitality industry)
Safe use of the PC
Good written and spoken German and English skills
Awareness of quality and responsibility
Independent working style
Ideally knowledge of the hotel software protel

Your tasks

General reception duties such as check-in & check-out, accepting & processing reservations and managing the hotel cash register
Care of our guests during breakfast including preparation and follow-up
Assembly and dismantling as well as preparation of our breakfast buffet
Final inspection and release of the cleaned hotel rooms
Warehouse management (hotel laundry management, ordering/purchasing in the F&B area)
Responsibility for cleanliness in public and non-public areas
Independent preparation and execution of occasional smaller events such as funeral ceremonies

Collective wage agreement
Company holidays over Christmas and New Year
Predominantly used in early shifts
Regulated working hours (shift times outside of trade fairs between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.; during trade fairs (approx. 4 weeks a year) between 6 a.m. and midnight)
Annual working time account (overtime is compensated with time off)
